Rockstar's DS-exclusive Grand Theft Auto is exclusive no longer!

Released back in March exclusively for the DS, Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is now confirmed as crossing over to the PSP this Autumn on both UMD and as a digital download on the PlayStation Network.

The new version of the game will be specifically built for the PSP, with enhanced graphics, animation and all-new story missions. Once again it'll be developed by Rockstar Leeds in consultation with the series creators at Rockstar North.

On the one hand it is a bit of a blow for the DS to lose exclusivity on one of its most high profile adult titles, but on the other can hardly be seen as a surprise move by Rockstar. Sales for the game on DS were below expectations, and a release on PSP will help turn that around.
