News: GTA Wii "Didn't Feel Natural" - Rockstar

Ever wondered why Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars wasn't announced for Wii? Rockstar spills the beans over their decision...
Since Nintendo pulled the curtain at this year's E3, GTA: Chinatown Wars for DS has gathered a considerable ammount of excitement and confusion . The latter presumably stemming from why the first original iteration of the series for a Nintendo system wasn't in devlopment for Wii, rather than a handheld.
Luckily, US mag Nintendo Power has been on the case, and managed to snag a quick interview with Rockstar head-honcho, Dan Houser. When asked directly why the company decided to pass up on making a Wii Grand Theft Auto, Houser replied:
"It didnt feel natural to us, I guess. It really was that the DS felt like it had a lot of interesting challenges that would be totally different from what we'd done in the past. The stylus and the chance to use minigames in that way was really interesting and exciting to us, and we thought we could integrate seamlessly between those two modes."
Certainly doesn't give many implications for a future Wii game, but who knows? Perhaps if the DS game sells well, Rockstar will reconsider. You know what must be done, N-Europers...
