News: Guillermo del Toro to Create Game

Film director Guillermo del Toro is in talks with THQ to create a video game.

Guillermo del Toro has worked on a number of films but is probably most famous for Hellboy II: The Golden Army and his numerous Spanish-language horror movies such as Pan's Labyrinth, The Devil's Backbone and Cronos. He is currently in talks with THQ to finalise details of creating a game with the developers.

If the deal is finalised, and it is looking like it will, then del Toro will create games that are "going to be technically and narratively very interesting,” which is how his films have often been described. He has previously spoken about his fondness for Shadow of the Colossus and Flower.

While it is unknown yet what consoles the game would be released on hopefully it will grace the Nintendo Wii. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
