News: Halogen Lighting & October Release?

Sensor bars were apparently positioned lower at E3 to reduce interference from all the show floor's halogen lights. Plus, is Nintendo aiming for an October release?

Gaming blog Kotaku has come into information from a rep at E3 that seems to suggest there is a concern about halogen lighting. The multiple spotlights around Nintendo's booth were allegedly causing problems for the Wii-motes sensors. As a result, the console's sensor bars had to be located under the TV at a lower angle than normal.

Other information to appear was that Nintendo could be aiming for an October launch - meaning they will be able to release cross-platform titles such as Madden alongside other versions, and to get the edge on Sony - who have already revealed their date for the month after.

When anything is confirmed by Nintendo, we'll let you know!
