Project H.A.M.M.E.R.

News: Hammer Time?

Could Project H.A.M.M.E.R still be hammering at retailers doors?

Initially revealed as a Wii launch-period title, Project H.A.M.M.E.R could finally be smashing it's way onto Wii!

Project H.A.M.M.E.R was an exclusive NST-developed action game for the Wii, which presented players with a half-human half-cyborg character complete with a giant industrial hammer for an arm. The game was announced during Nintendo's E3 2006 press conference at the Kodak Theater, and was given hands-on demonstrations. Unfortunately the title was put on indefinite hold in late 2007, effectively cancelling the game.

Now the British magazine NGamer is reporting that the title could be back on track. In a recent article the following was quoted:

"Nintendo at large says no, but the head of a Nintendo subsidiary says he and his team are still working on it. Believe us, we’ll be the first to tell you when H.A.M.M.E.R’s back on track."

Make of that what you will. Rumour or just wishful thinking? Tell us what you think!
