Only Nintendo's fourth company president (throughout over 115 years of company history) Iwata took over from former president Hiroshi Yamauchi when he retired in 2002. Along with Miyamoto and Reggie, Iwata is one of the most memorable faces of Nintendo. We wish him many happy returns!
