Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness for the DS has been confirmed for a December release in Europe.

When you wash up on a desert island, your first instinct would most likely be to find civilisation. You may progress to befriending a football, declaring yourself a lord among apes or spending the best part of three years building a raft to escape from your tropical prison. Building a farm, raising animals, and eventually finding love and starting a family most likely wouldn't be on your immediate agenda.

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness sees you doing exactly that. Choose one of 10 male or female castaways and unravel the secrets of the island, where you'll find several clues which suggest that the island has been inhabited before... The game sports some lush 3D graphics, and employs a combination of the touch screen and DS buttons to allow you to go about your day-to-day farming activities.

An online Wi-Fi Connection mode is also featured, which allows you to voice chat with your farming buddies and upload your farm's ranking to a worldwide leaderboard.

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness has been confirmed for a December 12th release in Europe, and it will be published by Rising Star Games.
