News: Hatsune Miku 3DS Kept Off The Top

The vocaloid sensation is the week's biggest release, but it can't displace last week's chart-topper...

The latest Media Create charts are out, and for the second week running it seems as though 3DS is dominating everywhere except the top spot of the games chart.

Last week's mammoth release in One Piece on PS3 has an equally impressive second week to stay top. The biggest new release was Sega's 3DS iteration of Hatsune Miku, which enjoyed a decent opening but just missed out on number one.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D made a better-than-feared impression, but was arguably lucky to chart in the top ten given its straight-port nature. Harvest Moon 3DS seems to be enjoying some good legs, while Level-5 probably would have liked Girls RPG to do a little better.

There were a handy seven 3DS games in the top ten of the software chart for the week of March 5th to 11th.

Nothing really changes on the hardware front. PS3 drops back to more normal levels after last week, but the order of things stay the same. PlayStation Vita looks like it's perhaps found its rock-bottom as it clings on for dear life above the 10k mark.
