High Voltage Software, the developers best known for The Conduit on Wii, have announced Hot Rod Show for the WiiWare service.
As with Rick Astley's familiarity with love, High Voltage Software are no strangers to WiiWare. The high profile developers, who recently shot to fame among Nintendo fans thanks to their graphical prodigy The Conduit on Wii, have already released V.I.P. Casino Blackjack and Gyrostarr in America to a mixed reception, and have another game, Animales de la Muerte, in the works (depending on the size of the download, it could hit retail instead, however).
High Voltage Hot Rod Show is the latest WiiWare title to be announced by High Voltage Software, an 'intense new racing title' which is due to be out towards the end of the year. Take your Hot Rod racer over ramps, through speed rings and do tricks to get speed boosts and get the best possible times and thrash up to 7 other cars in a special Championship mode, 4 players in local splitscreen and yourself in time trials. Not only that, but online Wi-Fi leaderboards are also included so that you may compare your times with the world.
Customisable skins can be gained for your racers for every gold medal you get in Championship Mode. Click here for more new screenshots, concept art and wallpapers from High Voltage Hot Rod Racers.
High Voltage also promise various control schemes, including a Wii Wheel scheme similar to Mario Kart Wii, analogue steering with the Nunchuk and traditional Classic Controller or GameCube controls.
Considering SPOGS Racing, the last and only racing game on WiiWare, was almost as well-received as Osama bin Laden's latest video, we don't think High Voltage can go far wrong with this one.
