Vivendi Universal Games has announced that Sierra Studios will release The Hobbit on Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, PC and GBA during the fourth quater or 2003, and of course will no longer be a Gamecube exclusive.

Inevitable Entertainment is currently developing The Hobbit for Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox while Amaze Entertainment's studio KnownWonder will be developing the game for PC, who also did Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The GBA game will be developed by Saffire.
