News: Homeland GameCube Bound?

Another 'quirky' Japanese title once thought to be dead looks as if its going to be released. The good news, its a MMORPG.

A while ago a game title 'Homeland' was being developed by Chunsoft. After a long period of no news it was presumed that the title was dead, however the official website has been updated with a few new movies and information.

The game promises the opportunity to play online with up to 35 other GameCubes, with one acting as a server. The host will have the ability to look upon everybody playing on the server and spy on what they are doing.

During the game you will be able to chat to other players and also battle monsters together. However for communicating you will have to use the controller but there is some good news, at the moment it seems that there will be no connection fee.

The game offers players to customise the look of their characters, right down to clothing details.

Most of the information known about the game comes from the movies at the moment, but by the looks of it you will have a health and magic bar, which means it will be similar to a lot of RPGs. There will also be a single player for those who do not wish to play online.

To view the movies you can head over to the Official Homeland Website, which is in Japanese of course.
