House of the Dead 2&3 Return is a port of the second and third installments in Sega's acclaimed zombie-blasting arcade series. The Wii port will feature Wii Zapper compatibility, as well as all of the modes featured in previous versions of the games. Today, Sega have announced a new mode which is exclusive to the House of the Dead III section of Return.

Entitled Extreme Mode, the new mode's gameplay will allow for greater use of the Wii Remote's motion sensing features. When faced with a reanimated rascal, the new guard attack command will allow a quick shake of the Remote to knock back your opponent to allow for extra time to blast its diseased head off. No new modes have been confirmed for House of the Dead II as of yet.
