It might not be the Duck Hunt you were expecting....
Detn8, publishers of Ultimate Duck Hunting, the enthralling point 'n' shoot game on the PC, have confirmed a version of the game is in developement exclusively for Nintendo's Wii! With a wide range of licensed guns, decoys and camoflauge, along with your trusty labrador dog, players travel into the wilderness to shoot down those ducks. The Wiimote's pointer is used to shoot the ducks. It is unknown at this time whether you can shoot your dog or not.
Currently, there are 4 modes waiting for aspiring hunters; Single Hunt where you must shoot down a certain number of ducks, Career Mode where you can hunt over a number of seasons and can build up your dogs skills, Multiplayer Mode where 2 players can compete on a split-screen and Training Mode where you dog can practice his skills. Unfortunately we don't actually know what your dog can actually do other than go and pick up the downed ducks.
So far six different hunting grounds have been confirmed; Stuttgart (Arkansas), Oacoma (South Dakota), Oak Island (Minnesota), Old Harbor (Alaska), Coldwater (Mississippi), and Halifax (Virginia). The game is due for an American release this Summer.
