Today, Vivendi Universal Games announced that its obtained the exclusive publishing rights for Hunter: The Reckoning series of games from Interplay. Under the terms of the deal, VU takes on worldwide publishing and distribution responsibilities for future titles in the series, based on the content license from White Wolf Publishing. The deal, which will see VU publishing Hunter: The Reckoning Wayward (PlayStation 2) and Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer (Xbox) as the first two upcoming titles, grants VU Games the right to extend the licensing agreement for the franchise up until 2008. Hunter: The Reckoning, the first title in the series, is currently available on the Xbox and GameCube.
