Nintendo are offering gamers a festive treat by releasing Hydroventure for WiiWare on December 24th.

Billed as "the most hotly anticipated WiiWare game of the year" Hydroventure offers gamers the chance to engage in a physics based water platforming title. The game has been given a release date of December 24th and a demo will also be released on the same day.

The title is set in a illustrated magical book called Aquaticus and combines a real-life physics engine with intriguing gameplay that requires players to rid the world of the evil goop known as the "Influence".

In order to progress across the varying levels players can tip the world to encourage the water to flow using the Wii Remote or make it jump by shaking the Wii Remote. Additionally the water can be transformed into ice or steam if you change its temperature.
