Originally an arcade game ported to the Dreamcast, Ikaruga is a top down shooter from Japanese developer Treasure. With titles such as Radiant Silvergun (Saturn) and Bangai-O (N64, Dreamcast) under their belt a lot was expected of their latest project, and it delivered. News of a GameCube version with more extras was great, but the Dreamcast never saw the game outside of Japan, would the GameCube?

Fear not, shooter fans, as Infogrames have announced that they have publishing rights to Ikaruga in both Europe and America. The game is scheduled to hit both shores in April of this year. Be sure to check out www.ikaruga-atari.net for more details.
