A re-make of the Commodore 64 classic Impossible Mission is on its way to the Wii Shop Channel this summer...

In unexpected news, Nintendo have confirmed that the first non-Virtual Console or Channel content to be made downloadable from the Wii's shop Channel will be a re-make of the Commodore 64 title Impossible Mission.

Developer's System 3 are apparently re-making the game, though there will also be an option to play the title in "retro mode" to please all those who are old enough to have played it through the first time round.

Also out on PS2, PSP and DS, the title should be available to download this summer in Europe, though no firm date or Wii Points price has yet to be set.
