Index have cut the prices of the GameCube by 50%, and Nintendo like it!

Recently Index dropped the price of the GameCube to only �39.99, the same price as new software titles. While at first it was on their website the stock has since been cleared, and it is now only available in stores.

Argos reduced the price of the GameCube last year to a lesser extent but it was because at the time they were going to drop the GameCube. This is not the case here however.

"Index is currently running a big promotion on all its products, of which GameCube is one, offering up to 50 per cent discount," said a Nintendo spokesman. "As far as we are aware, Index will continue to trade with Nintendo at certain times of the year."
