MCV Germany reported yesterday that Infogrames is going to rename itself to Atari. They claim that the announcement will be made next week during the E3 show in Los Angeles.

Two years ago Atari started putting the Atari logo on its game packs after it acquired this name in the purchase of Hasbro Interactive. Renaming itself would certainly be an interesting move from Infogrames. The company however, has not confirmed this news as of yet.
