A new 3D Mario game from the creators of Galaxy...

At his Game Developers Conference keynote speech in San Francisco, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata confirmed that EAD Tokyo - developers of the Super Mario Galaxy games - have been working on an all new Mario title for 3DS.

A few tiny screenshots and a logo are all we have to go on, courtesy of ONM, but what we can see so far is very promising indeed.

You'll notice the non-finalised logo of the game features what looks like a small tail protruding from the side. Iwata-san was specifically cryptic about this and revealed all would become clear at E3 this year.
