Nintendo CEO states that using multiple Wii U controllers on one console is possible.
An issue ever since Nintendo announced the new console and controller at it's E3 press conference, there has been much debate and speculation whether multiple Wii U controller support is possible. After hearing that it is something Nintendo is currently looking into as well as Miyamoto saying they're focusing primarily on using one controller to it's full extent due ot pricing issues, now Satoru Iwata has chimed in.
Talking to the online Japanese website, Diamond Online, Iwata re-confirmed what has been said before stating that "Technically, it is possible for the Wii U to support multiple Wii U Controllers." But due to this being a considerable price to the customer and with Nintendo not planning on having people buying more controllers, focus is primarily on one.
N-Europe will bring you more Wii U controller news as it breaks.
