A Jaleco spokesperson has confirmed that the company is still going, and Kizuna will be out this year in Japan.
Back in January we reported that industry publishing veteran Jaleco had been sold to Japanese company Game Yarou in a deal worth less than one English penny.
However, it appears that Jaleco Limited is to remain a part of the games industry, as it will continue operations as normal under the ownership of Game Yarou, according to spokesperson Yuki Takakura. No changes will be made within the company, and it even gets to retain its name.
In regards to the anticipated Wii action-RPG Kizuna, Mr. Takakura confirmed that development has continued on, and the company is preparing it for a May 28th release in Japan. When asked about the prospect of a Western release, Mr. Takakura said, "Unfortunately, I can't tell you yet, but wait for it."
Jaleco are also working on several unannounced titles in addition to Kizuna, but Mr. Takakura's lips remained tighter than John Goodman in a size 4 dress on the subject.
