Nintendo is finally bringing Jam with the Band to Europe - head inside for confirmation of the tracklist, Wii Channel and more...
Nintendo's most recent list of release dates happily confirmed DS music-making game Jam with the Band for a European release - after many, many years of waiting! The title, named Daigasso! Band Brothers in Japan, originally debuted there in December 2004, although a DX version on which this European release is based, launched two years ago in June 2008.
The game allows you to program your own versions of famous songs, or jam to a collection of popular songs from a constantly expanding song list. User-created content can be shared online with other players. The title features eight different parts on each track from a collection of more than 50 instruments; or the ability to simply create melodies by humming into the DS' in-built microphone.
The title comes with 50 pre-installed songs, and room for around 50 more to be downloaded via Wi-Fi. There is a dedicated website where players are able to see new and the most popular tracks available, and just like in Japan players can also connect their DS or DSi to a Wii console to send the sounds from your Nintendo DS to the speakers of your TV sound system. A free Jam with the Band Live Channel for the Wii will be made available especially for this.
