Nintendo of Japan has another five limited-edition DS designs on the way, available only through a special contest..

Entitled "Hot Summer", the contest will take place between July 1st and August 31st this year. Japanese gamers who wish to take part must register a DS they've bought during the contest on Nintendo of Japan's site. Alternatively, registering two games (for either Cube, GBA or DS) will also earn you entry.

At the end of the competition, 1000 lucky winners will receive one of five special DS designs, which feature a wire-frame picture of either Mario, Yoshi, Bowser, Peach or Wario, with the words "Hot Summer" underneath.

Runners-up prizes include 1000 Panasonic Walkmans and SD cards with Nintendo music on them as well as 3000 DS satchels.
