News: Japanese Sales Charts

Another week has passed, and another week Nintendo dominates Japan.Find out the sales for the week ending August 12th.

Nintendo is still proving extremely strong over in Japan with the DS Lite and Wii continuing to lead the charts... still. The PlayStation 3 has surpassed the Playstation 2 sales wise, but can it keep it up? Take a look at the hardware results below.

  • 3. PlayStation Portable - 32,147
  • 4. PlayStation 3 - 21,321
  • 5. PlayStation 2 - 12,545

The software sales are just as strong as the hardware, with some new entries such as SD Gundam G Generation Cross Drive. Mario Party 8 is still proving popular, with it staying in second place and Wii Sports, The Phantom Hourglass and Wii Sports continuing to hang in the top ten.
