Addictive DS puzzler Polarium gets an update in Japan, as the original is updated with some interesting new features...

From October 13th the Japanese can get their hands on Tsuukin Hito Fude, an update to the original Polarium (named Chokkan Hito Fude to those crazy Japanese). The game will feature the same gameplay of the original with a couple of new things added.

In the single puzzle-solving department, there are now 365 designs to solve (there were 100 originally). The game also has a new time-attack mode, allowing for play against the clock.

Of the most interest however, is the new edit options available which allow you to add colour to your pieces. How this will effect the gameplay dynamic is unknown, but the Japanese don't have long to wait to find out!

The game will launch on October 13th at the budget price of of 2800 yen, though a release has not yet been announced outside of Japan.
