News: Japanese WiiWare Launch Details

WiiWare is hitting Japan soon, so Nintendo has revealed some new games and given us some new screenshots.

WiiWare will be hitting Japan on the 25th March. That date isn't far away so Nintendo have given us some new screenshots to promote the service. You can also watch a new video here.

Okiraku Ping Pong

A cel-shaded Table Tennis game from Arc System Works. The game plays similar to Wii Sports Tennis and will feature a 2-player mode. It will be available for 500 Wii Points.

Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan

A Japanese word puzzle game from Bandai-Namco. For 1,000 Wii Points you can get this word game that lets you chain words for higher scores. Can be played with 1 or 2 players.

Saku Saku Animal Panic

Konami's first WiiWare game. Saku Saku Animal Panic lets you manage a micro farm/zoo ranch thing. The game will featue various different animals and a 4 player mode. It will cost 1,000 Wii Points.

Star Soldier R

An arcade space shooter from Hudson. Blast your way through waves of enemies using one of the various control methods (Wii Remote, Wii Remote & Nunchuck or Classic Controller) and try to reach the top spot on the online leaderboards. Available for 800 Wii Points.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King

One of the WiiWare games at the top of the price range (1,500 Wii Points). This is a Final Fantasy spin-off of a Final Fantasy spin-off and will allow you to build your own country. The graphics look fantastic, too.

Tenshi no Solitaire

The polular card game Solitaire hits WiiWare for 500 Wii Points. Created by G-Mode, this solitaire game has an angel/devil theme featuring anime girls and a variety of backgrounds.

Dr. Mario: Bacteria & Extermination

Two similar games for 1,000 Wii Points. The first is classic Dr. Mario which has a 2-player online Vs mode. The second, Bacteria Extermination, is a new take on Dr. Mario and features a 4-player (offline) co-op mode.

Pokémon Ranch (Everyone's Pokémon Ranch)

For 1,000 Wii Points you can raise your Pokémon on a ranch. You can connect to Pokémon Diamond or Pearl to transfer Pokémon to and from the WiiWare game. Pokémon Ranch also features a snapshot mode.

LONPOS

A puzzle game where you have to place pieces onto a board in order to fill it. Like a jigsaw with no picture and a lot more thinking. It will be available for 1,000 Wii Points from How Software.
