Nintendo of Japan hint that it may be a possibility.

Over at Game | Life, a translated version of an article that can be found over at the Nintendo of Japan website regarding the Opera browser for Wii has been posted.

We have posted one or two pieces of information over the last few days regarding this, in particular, how the browser has been upgraded or updated in terms of features and when it will be seeing a release date (April).

However, there is one piece of information regarding keyboard support, which is currently not present on the Wii. The designers say that they weren't able to sort out keyboard support for the browser's release, but that it's something "they'd like to think about for the future."

The Wii has USB support, so it is a definite possibility that a keyboard could see a release in the future. Whether it will get done or not, however, is an entirely different matter.
