The popular fighting series will be rumbling onto the DS.

IGN is reporting that at the King of Fighters MMBB Online Game Festa (a tournament event) held in Tokyo a few days ago popular KOF artist and producer Falcoon confirmed that the seminal SNK fighting series would be making the leap to the dual screens. Whether or not this DS rendition of the fan-favorite 2D fighting series will sport special DS-centric touches (as in Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, the DS-ified interpretation of another well known fighting series) has yet to be revealed. Falcoon only promised that details would be forthcoming in the near future (E3 sounds like a good bet).
