Nintendo is preparing to celebrate 20 years of the beloved Kirby franchise.

Nintendo has announced that Kirby's 20th anniversary will be celebrated with a compilation disc released on the Nintendo Wii.

While the compilation was announced during the Japanese Nintendo Direct conference Nintendo did not provide details about which games will be included. Presumably it will feature some classic Kirby games from the last twenty years but hopefully Nintendo will be more forthcoming with details soon.

This will be the third Kirby title released for the Wii, following on from Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Adventure.
