Namco's anthropomorphic Dream Traveller is returning to the Wii in a remake of his critically acclaimed adventure, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile.
In a rather pleasant announcement for platforming fans, Bandai Namco have confirmed via Famitsu that Klonoa: Door to Phantomile will be remade for the Wii and released in Japan later this year.
Door to Phantomile established the Klonoa franchise in 1997 upon its release for the original PlayStation, and has gone on to spawn several sequels and spin-offs, including the acclaimed Empire of Dreams on the Game Boy Advance. The few morsels available to us at this moment in time suggest that the game has been entirely remade, will feature cel-shaded graphics and can be played with the Wii Remote held sideways (NES style).
With Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars, Tomb Raider: Underworld, the recently released De Blob and Wario Land: The Shake Dimension and now this, platforming fans will be spoilt for choice this Christmas!
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is slated for a December 4th release in Japan.
