It feels like this game has been in development for years now... Probably because it has! Many gamers will have got their first taste of Metroid Prime: Hunters back as early as 2004, when the DS launched in Japan and America with a demo of the title bundled in.
Since then, the game has evolved considerably, with the implementation of wi-fi connectivity and a fully fledged single-player mode starring a cast of rival bounty hunters which - if Hunters is a success - we're told could star in their own game!
The game takes place over five different planets, while the multiplayer has over 25 different maps. In the main mode, you'll be racing against the other bounty hunters to collect the special Alimbic artifacts - and if a rival gets to one before you, you'll have to board your ship, force the rival down to a planet and steal the artifact from him! Each rival has their own ship, closely modelled on the corresponding bounty hunter's armor.
Story-wise, the game is set to take place between Metroid Prime and Echoes, though we doubt there'll be much linking of the two games.
There's still no official release date for Europe, but we imagine it won't be long after the March US release. Fingers crossed we'll hear something soon!
