The prof's next outing gets a classy name adjustment for its European release later this year...
With focus switching to the 3DS, it seemed a bit touch-and-go whether we'd get the fourth and final DS entry of the Professor Layton series. Thankfully, its western localisation was confirmed with its appearance at E3 earlier this year.
Commonly translated as Professor Layton and the Spectre's Flute before now, it has confirmed that the final European title of the game will be Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call. It did not appear on Nintendo of Europe's Q3 release list, but going from the series' history, we in Europe could expect Spectre's Call some time around mid-autumn - October would be a solid guess.
Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call actually kicks off a prequel arc for the series, set three years before the first game Curious Village. It also has one of the most ambitious Layton side-games to date - a whole separate RPG titled London Life, co-developed with Magical Starsign creator Brownie Brown.
