Two of gaming's sharpest minds team up in a very surprising crossover indeed...

The Level-5 Vision event was the event that just kept giving. Possibly the biggest news to come from the conference was a tantalising collaboration between the developer and Capcom to bring two of their most iconic characters together on, you guessed it, 3DS.

Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney (translated title) sees Level-5's quick-witted, puzzle-mastering gent stumble into Capcom's ruthlessly brilliant lawyer in a whole new adventure. The game will blend gameplay elements from both franchises, with all new brain-bending puzzles and cunning contradictions fans of each series have become accustomed to.

What we know of the plot so far is that both Layton and Phoenix have found themselves in Labyrinth City, a strange medieval city controlled by the villainous Story Teller. Fans of continuity chill; the game exists in a separate universe from existing series cannons.
