The rising popularity of meerkats, undoubtedly due to Compare the Market rather than The Lion King, steps up to a whole new level with Lapland Studio's new video game Lead the Meerkats. The title is the world's first meerkat simulation title and a demo version is currently available to download for free on the Nintendo Wii.

Lead the Meerkats allows you to live the life of a meerkat in the African savanna for 1000 points and for a limited period a free demo is available to download on the European WiiWare service. The official trailer can be viewed below.
