Over 400 Pokémon will feature in the typing training game Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS.
An official site has just been launched for the currently Japanese-exclusive Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS. The title aims to teach children typing through rewarding them with Pokémon.
The main character in the game is researching Pokémon on behalf of a researcher named Eiji Kuiuchi and as you come across a Pokémon you must type its name. The character will then shout the name out and throw a Typing Ball at it to gather information, which is recorded in a research notebook, according to Andriasang.
Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS is set to feature over 400 Pokémon from a number of titles. Some are currently listed on the website, with more to come soon, but the majority will be a surprise as you make your way through the game's 60 levels.
The game comes with a bluetooth keyboard, which we revealed back in January, that is 264 x 113 x 20mm in size and weighs 300g. It is said to run for 1,500 hours from two AAA batteries.
When Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS is released on April 21st it will set gamers back 5,800, around 50, and will contain the game, a keyboard, AAA batteries, a "DS Compact Stand" to prop up the DS and a reference card that shows the romanji conversions of Japanese characters as all the typing will be done in romanji.
