Warner Brothers Interactive has announced LEGO Battles: Ninjago for the DS.

The newest LEGO title to be announced, LEGO Battles: Ninjago, will be based upon 2009's LEGO Battles for the DS but feature the new Ninjago range of LEGO characters. The title is due for release in the Spring and will give gamers the chance to master the art of Spinjitzu, an art form in which characters spin to create tornadoes to defeat enemies and restore harmony to the world.

TT Games is producing the title while Hellbent Games will be developing it. In LEGO Battles: Ninjago players can choose to either be good or evil in the single-player missions as well as participate in numerous challenges in the Battle Mode. Additionally gamers can also battle friends in the multiplayer mode.

Any LEGO title wouldn't be complete without customisation and LEGO Battles: Ninjago is no different. Players can customise their own armies of Spinjitzu heroes or Skulkin villains to use against their enemies and during the course of the game recover powerful Ninja weapons and overcome larger-than-life battles.
