Despite rumours, the title will still be heading for the Gamecube.

Over the last few weeks, there have been rumours that the Gamecube version of Activision's Lego Star Wars 2 had been canned. With the impending release of the Nintendo Wii, the Nintendo Gamecube has pretty much been labelled as a 'dead console.'

However, Activision have come out to crush these rumours, and tell us that the title will still be making its way onto the Gamecube.

"The GC version of LSWII has not been canned but will be available as an exclusive with GAME Stores," an Activision spokesperson said this afternoon.

Gamecube owners, do not fear, you can still get your grubby mitts on this game!
