In a recent interview, LucasArts have confirmed that a lightsaber game for the Wii is in the works...

One of the first things people thought of when the Wii Remote was unveiled was a lightsaber. LucasArts have hinted to a lightsaber game many times, but never confirmed it. Until now.

Specifics of the game are unknown, we don't even know if it will be a new game, or a port of something like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. All we do know is that LucasArts have prototype Wii lightsaber controls in place.

"We're all over that, and internally we have already played a lightsaber game on the Wii. It's a lot of fun, and we'll get there." said Jim Ward, President of LucasArts, when asked about a lightsaber game for the Wii. He also added that the concept was "...in place! There'll be some stuff out this Fall - it's going to be a lot of fun."
