News: LucasArts Unhappy At MotionPlus Announcement

Star Wars creators LucsArts were reportedly furious at Nintendo after this year's E3. But who shot first?
It certainly seems the case that, as we've reported previously, developers only found out about the Wii's MotionPlus peripheral at the same time the media and public did - at E3.
Game Informer magazine has reported that one developer not too chuffed about this was LucasArts - and you can kind of see why. The upcoming Wii title Star Wars: Force Unleashed by the developer's primary selling point for Wii was likely every fan's wet dream - Wii-mote lightsabre action. Now it will go on sale to a public who knows that even better controls could have been possible.
This far into the product's development it would have been impossible to delay the game to include MotionPlus, and indeed we've already heard word there are no plans for it to be supported.
With MotionPlus' date still a long way off - and only one simple title in the shape of Wii Sports Resort to show off for it, it's unlikely Ninty have been selfishly hoarding the product away. Nevertheless, it is still somewhat disappointing to see such a lack of communication between the company and its third-parties.
