Fans of the cult RPG series rejoice - a third installment is on the way...

The latest issue of Japanese gaming bible Famitsu has revealed a third entry in the DS Luminous Arc series is in production. Subtitled Eyes, the game is once again being developed by imageepoch, who are also busy at work localising the Wii RPG Arc Rise Fantasia.

The Luminous Arc series is one of the more well-received tactical role-playing game strands on DS. The second game is not yet available on UK shelves, but the original has been out since 2007. Luminous Arc 3 sees players thrust into a world of typical spells and sorcery in the Ulgard Magic Academy.

Luminous Arc 3 is set for release in Japan this year.
