The blockbusting legends return to face-off for round two!
After selling several million copies, it's no surprise to anyone that a follow up to Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is on the way. The next iteration will be based around the Winter Olympics which will take place in Vancouver, 2010. The game will head to Wii and DS in late 2009.
Olympic Winter Games will be developed by Sega of Japan, once again under the guidance of Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto. The Wii version will take full advantage of thr Balance Board to enhance many of the snowy events. Like with the original, the game will be published by Sega in the western markets while Nintendo handles the Japanese release. The title has full licensing with the International Olympics Committee (IOC).
