The numbers are in. Just how well is Mario Galaxy doing in his first week? Or is he going down the drain...

The famous plumber got his release only last week Japan, and previously there was reports of retailers pre-ordering up to 700,000 units to try and meet demand. Did Marios space adventure do well?

In Mario Galaxy's first week it sold 256,000 copies. Not quite as much as people expected. Mario Sunshine sold 280,000 copies in it's first week and New Super Mario Bros. selling a staggering 420,000 in it's first day.

With the release of Mario Galaxy now a matter of days away from it's launch in the US and Europe, it's getting everyone excited, even all of us here at N-Europe. But will the lovable plumber and his 'tache float his way to the top? Will Mario stay up in the charts?
