The Today show in the US has rated the top ten video games most wanted by kids this Christmas, and Mario featured prominently on the list!
The survey, titled "Toy Test 2005" has Cube exclusives Super Mario Strikers, Mario Superstar Baseball and Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix in second, third and fourth places respectively in the video games top ten most wanted.
The list is designed primarily for parents buying games and toys for their children at Christmas, and as such the list isn't allowed to feature games rated M for Mature, or that contain the "shooting or stabbing of human characters on-screen."
The list of games were chosen from a portable arcade filled with Cube, PS2 and Xbox consoles set up in Seattle, with gamers being allowed up to 20 minutes on a game, after which they had to rate it. Over two weeks, 11,000 ratings were gathered, with Burnout Revenge getting the top spot.
