Just a day after we reported R.O.B would be playable in the game (article and screenshot here), our colleagues over at DSAdvanced have got a list of all the characters in the game and seem certain on the accuracy of it.

Update: Earlier we listed Koopa Troopa, Toadette, and Petey Piranha as also included as unlockable characters, but it appears our source was wrong on this. New information passed on to R-E now confirms the characters above are the only ones in the game.
