NMag reveals some new details on the upcoming racer. Another baby character? Read on...

Mario Kart Wii got shown and announced at last years E3 even in July, and with it confirmation that like the previous version, this one will also make use of Nintendo's Wi-Fi service and since then, news has been scarce. NMag has shed some light on more details for the next entry in the series. Sliding and snaking will be returning which will please (and annoy) many people along with 16 new and old tracks. Also revealed is that this version will feature an online battle mode along with different vehicles for each driver.

Speaking of drivers, NMag states that Boo and Baby Peach will be playable, and also mentions that the controls will be comparable to Excite Truck.

Mario Kart Wii is currently scheduled for a Q2 release and comes bundled with an official Nintendo steering wheel shell. Nifty.
