Nintendo Power has some scant, though interesting, news on the latest instalment of the Mario Kart series. Online play will be possible for at least 12 players at a time when the title releases in the Spring of 2008.

New to the title will be the ability to pull off stunts while playing, the Wii remote is held on its side for the game in a style similar to Excite Truck. Executing these stunts will earn some kind of reward for the successful player, though as it stands, it is not clear what this will be.

Traditional power-ups will also return to the title, and you can still hit enemies with green shells and those ever-useless bananas.
