TDK Mediactive and Swedish developer Starbreeze announced today that a new game is in development tentatively titled Templar which will be released this year on the PS2, X-Box, GameCube and the PC.

The game is set in medieval Europe where players take the role of Paul de Raque, a Knight Of The Temple, and you set out on a crusade to join your order in the Holy Land. According to the developers, the game is based on 12th century crusades as well as medieval fighting techniques and weapons.
