XIDER reveal some of the diverse and colourful characters you'll encounter in Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King for the DS.

Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King is a point-and-click adventure for the DS which follows the adventures of Assil, an unfortunate Egyptian lad who has a death curse placed upon him by a Mummy after a party awakens the undead fiend from its slumber. Given 24 hours to live, a shocked Assil stumbles home only to be grounded for a week by his father! Assil must escape his house and find the Pharaoh, the only person who can lift the curse and save his life.

Publisher XIDER Games have revealed some of the wonderful and wacky characters players will encounter on their quest to save Assil's life. There's Bakshish the souvenir salesman who can be found by the Sphinx, Tarok and Blackeye - two mercenary assassins with a vast knowledge of videogame development, and Bulbul the bouncer, who guards the rather fashionable Camella Loca club.

Players will also meet many more colourful characters, including Assil's party animal girlfriend, Thora, an ancient and terrifying Mummy with a tendency to gossip, and the Pharaoh who oft neglects his duties as a ruler in favour of some hardcore partying.

Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King will be out for the DS in Europe later this month.
