Rumour Control: Metroid 2 not for Cube but for N5 you say? Keep clicking for the truth!

Okay, many of you may or may not have heard the rumours that seem to have sprung up in the last few days regarding the release of Metroid 2 (working title) for the GameCube.

These vicious rumour-mongers have been stating that Metroid 2 will NOT be making it to the Cube, but instead the next generation of Nintendo console -the codenamed "N5".

It is my pleasure to tell you that these are rumours and nothing more than that. The game is currently in an advanced stage of development for the Gamecube and on course for a likely end of 2004 release in the US.

So, in the best tradition of Corporal Jones: Don't panic!
